URBAN FEAST – a fabulous event!

Thank you South Kilburn for such a wonderful event last Friday 29 January !

Nearly 300 people attended over the whole event!

We ate over 5 kilo of popcorn!

Served 120 dinners!

Gave away countless leaflets,  flyers and information about food and health.  Gave away lots of food samples and seeds and gathered lots of information about what people want from Granville Community Kitchen.

Thank you to everyone who helped, had a stall and attended for making the day so amazing!

The Mayor having supper with Mary Arnold made by Nur in a packed dining room. Nur  make a community meal every Friday evening 5.45-7.15 pm at Granville.

Countdown to URBAN FEAST!

Its only 6 days until our big day!

URBAN FEAST start at 2pm! Its all FREE!

It is a day full of fun, friends and food! All provided by grassroots groups and South Kilburn small businesses and community groups.

The timetable is

2-7 Marquees in Peel Precinct with mulled apple juice and information for everyone!

2-7 Stalls in the main hall with information, activities and tasters

3.45-4.45 Story telling and music for under 8s in the community hall

2-7 Craft for children and young people

6.30 Entertainment by young people from Granville Youth Arts

5.30-7.30 Free evening community meal

2-8 Films about food and Granville Community Kitchen

Special Guests: The Mayor of Brent and Cllr Muhammad Butt have both accepted our invitation!
